Langholm 8 Mile Doctors Race
An aptly named run with many 'undulations' resulting in exhausted runners by the end. Well I was. A good turnout from Moorfoots and as ususal Darin Will and James carried off the team prize (and Will the vet's prize).

Darin and Will came second and third after Euan Jardine of Gala.
LASSWADE 10 MILE RACE 4 March
This race is a very hilly course but Darin, helped and encouraged by Will Hynd, succeeded at last in breaking 60 minutes for this distance. This result, with James Britton not far behind, gave Moorfoot a team prize once again.

Moorfoot hosted the third race of the series at Haylodge Park in Peebles on Sunday 3rd of December. The heavy rain almost cancelled the races as half the course was flooded. However, quick thinking from organiser Mike Pearson to change the course at the last minute meant the races went ahead on schedule.
The Junior race was first off and attracted 50 runners. Moorfoot's Scout Adkin ran excellent to come in 6th position overall in 10.20mins. Close behind was running partner Alexandra Campbell in 9th position. Well done to both.
The main race attracted a healthy entry of 110 runners. Moorfoot had most of the club as marshalls but managed to put out a strong team to help their claim to win the series overall. First home from Moorfoots in 9th position was Will Hynd, closely followed by Michael McGovern and Russell Anderson who were 14th and 17th respectively. These positions meant that Moorfoots finished second team behind Gala Harriers. However, after 3 events Moorfoots lead the series overall by just one point from 26 teams. Other Moorfoot positions: Mark McLeod 45th in 36.01 mins, Scott McDonald 64th in 38.59 mins and Sara Ashby 95th in 44.39 mins.

Boxing Day Run: Glentress
A fantastic day, brilliant sunshine, crisp snow and a great turnout for the traditional mast run!

Farewell to Club President: Dave Wardman
After living here in the Scottish Borders for 24 years, Dave has decided to pack up his running shoes and return to his native Yorkshire. Dave, along with Mike McGovern and Will Hynd, created Moorfoot Runners and his enthusiasm and presence will be sorely missed. All the Moorfoots wish Dave well on his new adventure in Northallerton. Dave promises he will continue to be a part of the Moorfoot Runners, returning every year to participate in the many Scottish runs he enjoys.
As a farewell to Dave, Issy Knox, organised a handicap race around the Three Bridges course one Sunday morning. Whilst Dave didn't manage to win the race, he did receive a beautiful pewter tankard, especially inscribed, along with a case of his favoured tipple, 'Deuchars IPA'.
Dave at the centre of things on a very cold Sunday morning at Cardrona. (Yes it's snow on the hills!)
Three Bridges Race 2003 There was a magnificent turnout of Moorfoots at this annual handicap race. The biggest prize for the moorfoots was the following photograph:
